Guacamole Dip: A Favorite in my Hispanic Family
Weekends call for vegging out. What better way to stay in front of the television than to munch on chips with matching dip? So get your behinds
out of the couch and head to the kitchen. Don’t worry; you can follow this recipe like a pro. Whip this dip in an hour and you can watch all the series that you want while enjoying this fabulous guacamole dip.
GUACAMOLE DIP
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro
- ½ teaspoon cayenne
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ onion (diced)
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 clove garlic (minded)
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 2 Roma tomatoes (seeded, diced)
- 3 Haas avocados
Procedure:
- Scoop avocado pulp and place in a large bowl. Pour lime juice. Mix well so that lime juice coats the avocado. Once everything is mixed, drain the juice from the mixture. Save remaining lime juice for use later.
- Add cumin, salt, and cayenne to the avocado pulp mixture. Mash very well.
- Place sour cream, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, and onions.
- Add a tablespoon of the lime juice used earlier.
- Mixture is ready to be served after an hour.
